An Independent Research Centre Committed to Knowledge, Policy, and Practice
The Management and Social Science Research Centre (MSSRC) is an independent research institution dedicated to advancing knowledge across management, governance, public policy, and social sciences. Through rigorous scholarship, policy engagement, and collaborative enquiry, MSSRC works to generate insights that serve institutions, organisations, and society.
Who We Are
MSSRC was established as an independent, non-partisan centre for research and knowledge creation in management and social sciences. The Centre operates at the intersection of academia, policy, and practice — conducting research that is simultaneously rigorous in method and relevant in application.
MSSRC brings together scholars, practitioners, former civil servants, and policy experts through its network of Thought Leaders and Centers of Excellence. This network spans institutions across India and fifteen countries, enabling research that draws on diverse perspectives and engages with questions of national and international significance.
The Centre is guided by the priorities of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and aligns its research agenda with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the G20 framework.
